Leather Vise Jaw Pads 4x6.5 Non-Marring Gunsmith, Musical Instruments, etc 2 ea.

There are a lot of pads available made of exotic high-tech materials to help prevent marring, scratching, damage, and slipping while using your vise. Sometimes the traditional, time tested, old school ways work the best. This is a pair of 4" x 6 1/2" leather pads cut from 9-10 Oz. vegetable tanned heavy tooling leather. Color may vary. There is no oil in this leather to squeeze out on your work. Craftsmen have been using these for hundreds of years. You can glue these to your gun vise, project vise, guitar vise, archery/bow vise or any other vise. The best adhesive is two part epoxy. Or you can wet these pads and install on the jaw face and bend over the top of your vise. Put a heavy object on top and when dry they will retain their shape. The last picture shows a set of pads that were installed wet on one of my vises, a small Parrot Vise.  These pads have been used a lot. They just hang there with no glue. Any way you use them you can be assured your work will be safe. I buy whole hides of grade A cowhide and cut these to save you money. If you need a special size, contact me. I'll help you out.
