As a general 'rule',spirit levelsare used to find out whether a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical (plumb).
With its strong, special reinforced frame, thisPlate Level 2 - Type 106T(with removable stand-offs)is especially useful for overhead measurements. At a glance, level has a three chamber aluminum profile, and two coated measuring surfaces. As an added plus, item has fully removable 1 5/8" stand-offs, to reach around braces.
Type 106Thas a fully solid, sealed, six-sided rail extension to prevent bending, and provide the smoothest operation possible. With a printed scale, this allows thelevel to be pre-set and locked to the correct wall height.
With three vials in all, one top horizontal (at eye level) and two vertical
